Manga Review: Tail of the Moon

Hello Dollies^^

Today is the last day of school, meaning Winter Vacation begins! To celebrate the many weeks off of school, I'm going to release my first manga review!

For the past few weeks, I've gotten hooked on a manga that was released awhile back that was even featured in Shoujo Beat magazine when it was still running. The manga is entitled, Tail of the Moon (Tsuki No Shippo) by Ueda Rinko and the story focuses on the lovable, but clutzy ninja wannabe Usagi.

Ueda Rinko's art was very well drawn and the story was very captivating and easy to follow. Reading the story myself, even though I suspected a happy ending, there were many different twists and turns throughout, keeping you on your toes and never wanting to put the book down.

Tail of the Moon also had very well planned conflict between Iga and Oda, making the manga action packed as well as a few scenes of romance between Usagi and her husmand to be Hanzo.

I give Tsuki no Shippo a five star, mainly because of the mix of action, romance, and comedy into one, making the story attractive to all manga fans regardless if its shoujo or not.

To get your own copy, you can either order from Viz media's site, check out the Half Price book Store if in the Houston area like myself, or if you're just plain cheap and can't spend a dime on anything right now, you can read for free on almost any manga site of your choice (but you have to search Tsuki no Shippo for it to give you results).

So for those who are fans of Sakura Hime, or any Japanese historical ninja era stories, check it out sometimes and tell me what you think. You'll be captivated from beginning to end!

Volume 9 featuring Mamezo, Usamaru, and Usagi (in order)

Hanzo and Usagi together on volume 12 <3

Princess Sara and Hanzo (Eh?! Wasn't the other one Hanzo too? Yep, but that's a long story that I'm not going to explain, you have to read the story to understand)
