Chibi NeoGal: BanaChi

Hello everyone! It's time to put away the tank tops and booty shorts, because the weather and season's changing to the more cooler side. That's right, today's the first day of Fall here in the US, meaning tons and tons of end of season sales to go check out at your local mall... or in my case online!

It's been awhile since I've covered BanaChi, so today I'm going to show you some of my fave selections from popular JS Fashion brand Banana Chips!

For those of you whom been watching and paying attention to the Japanese fashion scene, Japanese gyaru fashion is constantly evolving each and every day and is moving father away from it's original look. Unfortunately this also goes for the chibi brands, and this fall they're switching to the Neo Gal side.

What is Neo Gal?

Neo Gal is a fashion style that's more street/ 90's grunge style that is constantly confused as an evolved style of gyaru or a subculture of the gyaru style. It's not gyaru, and Alisa Ueno of Fig and Viper said so herself: "i was a gyaru when i was teenager
and i dont think neogal is gyaru. so you guys are right. its just using the same word “gal”, but just mezamashi TV broadcasted gal has shifted neogal. but its"--Alisa Ueno

Anyways... you spot the difference right? here's BanaChi's look a couple years back

and now...

Still very cute, but less dramatic makeup aynd hair :)
This kawaii bowling shirt dress is perfect for school or the weekend, and like how they paired the gold and black shoes adding a pop to the coordinate.
This outfit is available in JS sizes only (US kids-tween size) and is priced at 14,800 yen.

Since I didn't really see anything GAL like in the current collection, I'm going to skip straight to the End of Summer Sale!^ ^

Now we're talking!  I love this little coordinate! Although for most of us it's out of season, it'll still be nice for Spring or Summer next year right? Since items in the Clearance section are sold separate, I'll post the links under the coordinates! only ships within Japan only, therefore the site is only available in Japanese. Feel free to gain inspiration from the coords and enjoy^ ^

Cute, but not too mature, I like how they focused more on the outfit by doing a more natural and less dramatic makeup look on the model and love the pairing of the white wedges that give off a classy and fun, but not too risque.

This look really reminds me of an outfit I'd probably see in a Shibuya 109 store display or on a Fig and Viper shop girl! I love how they took a more sophisticated approach by using the hounds tooth print, exposed gold zipper, and adorbs white heels. This outfit would be perfect to wear on a day out with friends or family and is perfect for that next GAL me2! Shall I say more?

Zig-Zag Top

Zig-Zag Pattern Short

Very fun, flirty, and casual! This outfit is perfect for a casual party, a get together with friends, or a trip to Tokyo Disney! Saxe Blue is perfect for Springtime as well as Summer, and for those whom live in a Warmer Climate area, this could be worn on even some days in the fall!^ ^

Banana Chips West Conclusion Dress

For the inner B-Gal in you, this is jacket is perfect for keeping warm in the Fall and Winter Seasons! The thigh high boots are a perfect addition to the coord overall as well as creates balance.
